In this review, we’ll dive into everything from groundstrokes and volleys to serves, returns, and overall feel. If you’re curious about whether it’s worth upgrading from the previous model, this is the review for you.
The new Radical MP comes with a bold new paint job—orange and black with that classic Radical branding. While the look is striking, the overall feel of the racket is in line with previous models.
I’ve spent time with the Radical Pro as well, but this review focuses on the MP. The Radical line has always been a staple for players seeking a balanced frame, and the 2025 MP continues that trend.
The Radical MP 2025 flies nicely through the air with controlled precision. It’s great for players who want accuracy without sacrificing too much power. Forehands and backhands feel solid, though it doesn’t deliver the “pure arrow” feel of a Prestige.
Stable and reliable at the net. No additional weight needed, and it’s very controllable. The Auetic 2.0 tech slightly dampens feel compared to older Radicals, but it still performs well overall.
The racket leans more toward control than power. Slice and kick serves work well, but it won’t provide free points with flat bombs. Returns are connected and solid, though still “average” in the radical line sense.
Power is moderate—custom strings can help, but it’s a control-oriented frame. Maneuverability is excellent (9/10), making it easy to move and react. Control is one of the strongest aspects, with the racket allowing precise placement on serves, volleys, and groundstrokes.
Comfort is good even with mid-to-high tension strings. Stability is solid, with only minor flex when hitting on the run. Overall, both categories score 7–7.5/10.
Touch and feel are slightly muted due to the tech in the frame. Spin is average but adequate for rallies, with heavier or flatter shots possible with small tweaks. Slice is solid, scoring 7/10.
The Head Radical MP 2025 is very similar to previous models. It’s a solid all-around racket for players who want balance without standout weaknesses—or standout strengths.
If you’re looking for a racket that checks all the boxes, this is a safe choice. But if you want something exceptional in one category, other frames like the Pure Aero, or Extreme Pro might be better.
